Welcome to Whiteside Portrait Painters West

Pat Vestaljoined Whiteside Painters last year and has enjoyed the opportunity to work with live models to hone her portraiture skills. 

Pat earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas. She considers herself fortunate to have been exposed to many arenas of the art world.  As her husband’s work has taken the family around the world, she has been able to work and continue studies in different locales – she taught school in Connecticut and California, worked as a newspaper editor in Texas, taught painting classes in Ethiopia, took classes at SMU and the School of MFA in Boston, studied ceramics in India at the Delhi Blue Pottery factory, and became a member of Fort Mason Printmakers in San Francisco.

Pat joined a memorable Santa Fe Art Institute workshop with Jennifer Bartlett, a session at Vermont Studio Center, a "Paint Maine" month with RISD painters, and painting trips to Italy and France. In Tulsa, Pat’s work has been in exhibits at 26 East Gallery, Stonehorse, Living Arts, and Walker Art Center.
