Evelyn Petroski
works in all media. Dubbed "a portrait poet," she brings the beauty of the face to the forefront and in doing so, lets the beauty of the soul shine from her canvasses. "The more people I paint, the more portraits I am motivated to paint. In every face, there's a new and exciting challenge to find the essence of the person."
Evelyn is sought after for painting portrait commissions -- a most recent and captivating one, she tells us, is her book cover illustration project. She is essentially self-taught, but has enthusiastically and diligently studied every facet of art and portraiture in depth and now conducts many workshops in and around Tulsa.
Evelyn's work may be enjoyed in many Oklahoma venues.

EVELYN PETROSKI'S COMMISSIONED PORTRAIT OF GENEVAE ROGERS UNVEILED
RECENTLY AT TULSA UNIVERSITY'S COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION.
Genevae Rogers was the first woman to graduate from Tulsa University's Business Law School and to honor that feat and her many contributions to the institution since, a surprise unveiling was planned at a reception June 24 held at Tulsa University's Helmrich Hall. Ms. Rogers, now 93, was extremely pleased with her portrait and the stories depicted in the background.
Susan Boyd, Director of Business Law School at Tulsa University unveiled the painting which will hang in her area. Congratulations Evelyn! Great work!

Join Evelyn's workshop -- the fun way to hone your talent. She has an ongoing class in portraiture at Ziegler's every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30pm. Beginners to professionals are welcome! The cost per student is $160. per month. (Fee is due the first Monday of every month.)
