Elizabeth L. Miller
has familiarized herself in all media but finds pastels closest to drawing and therefore, presently favors the use of pastels for her finely polished work. She sets stringent goals for herself and will not declare any piece of her artwork a "keeper" until she's satisfied that she has captured the unique quality of each person or model she paints to her own satisfaction. She is meticulous in her renderings and passionate about art.
Although she studied for her BFA at the University of Texas with a minor in Art History, it was only the beginning of a lifetime of learning for her. And whether she is working alongside the Whiteside Portrait Painters on Tuesday; delving into instructional books and videos; or studying the work of masters; she feels there is always more to see, more to learn and explore with her artwork. "I study, think and work in art -- especially portraiture and figures -- constantly."
Elizabeth, who has garnered many accolades for her artwork, is represented by Colonial Art Gallery at Penn Station in Oklahoma City.
